PhD in Entrepreneurship – Aalto University School of Business

Invitation:

Are you interested in how entrepreneurship can (or cannot) make the world a better place?

Are you intellectually curious, an avid reader and writer, and dreaming of an academic career?

If so, then consider applying to become a PhD researcher at the Entrepreneurship Unit of the
Department of Management Studies at Aalto University. We are currently recruiting!

As one of potential supervisors, I am looking for candidates with an interest on when and how
entrepreneurship and/or innovation can create positive social value for society. The specific
topics of study can vary, including for instance: how non-profits and activists can survive and
thrive within authoritarian regimes; how social entrepreneurs and innovators can create
positive changes in society; how citizens organize to respond to natural and humanitarian
crises; and how ethically conscious markets emerge and transform established industries.

Applications are open until January 12th 2023: https://www.aalto.fi/en/studyoptions/aalto-doctoral-programme-in-business-economics-and-finance

Feel free to contact me (Assistant Professor Myrto Chliova, myrto.chliova@aalto.fi) if you
are interested to apply and have questions or want to discuss your specific research
interests.
